Who we are

Oceanside Beach Rental & Snack Shack is a locally owned beach rental and snack kiosk at Pier Plaza North, Oceanside Pier, Oceanside, California. This policy covers osideshack.com. Questions? Email [email protected] or text (619) 354-0299.

What we collect

• Job applications. If you apply for a job, we get what you put in the form: your name, email, phone number, home address and your answers (for example availability, work history and background questions).
• Reservation requests. When online gear reservations open, we’ll get your name, contact details, date and the gear you want.
• Texts and emails you send us. Right now our forms open your messages app so you can text the details to our phone. Anything you text or email us, we receive like any other message.
• Basic site logs. Our website host, Cloudflare, automatically handles technical details like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to run the site, keep it secure and show us simple visit counts.

How we use it

• To reply to you, review job applications and handle reservations.
• When our online forms are turned on, applications and reservation requests you submit are emailed to our own inbox, [email protected], using Gmail, and you get a copy by email.
• To keep out spam, those online forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is sending the form.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t run ad trackers on this site. The home page saves the latest surf and weather numbers in your browser for 15 minutes so it loads faster; your browser fetches that data from Open-Meteo and the National Weather Service.

We don’t sell your information

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their marketing. The only outside companies involved are the services that run our site and email (Cloudflare and Google).

How long we keep it

Job applications are kept for up to about 1 year, then deleted. Reservation requests and other messages are kept only as long as we need them to help you.

Seeing or deleting your information

Want to see what we have about you, fix it or have it deleted? Email [email protected] and we’ll take care of it.

Children

This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. Our jobs are for applicants 18 and older.

California residents

If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and you won’t be treated differently for asking. We don’t sell or share personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
